Stop overthinking- Don’t get trapped in your own thoughts.

Don’t get too deep; it leads to overthinking and overthinking leads to problems that don’t even exist in the first place.

_Jayson Embay.

Thinking about something in endless circles is exhausting. This exhausting thinking is what ‘overthinking’ is. Thinking is not only good but, in a sense, much better. One should always think before doing anything. So let good things be better only. When good things cross their limits beyond being better than for sure, you know what is going to be harmful to you.

Don’t think about a particular thing in such a way that you would find yourself trapped in dogma of that thing. Be it the dogma of the past or future, small or big, dreams or visions.

What is overthinking?

Classically, overthinking is “to think about something too much or for long. We always say, “Why to overthink, man?” But the truth is that everyone overthinks things from time to time, situation to situation. At some point in life, we tend to overthink some very minor issues to some very major problems in life.

Scientific research shows that Young and middle-aged adults tend to overthink. The individuals between the age of 25-30 years contribute 73% to the population of over thinkers. Further studies show that women contribute more to this population than men.

Why should we stop overthinking?

I know that in this age of twenty to thirty, we are pressured by many responsibilities, career, relationships, peer pressure, family, and many more. It is not easy to let things go in their nasty order without any focus. And sometimes, if we let that happen, we would end up landing in another difficulty.
Instead, we should focus on one single thing at a particular time. Should think about everything in an absolute way and try to find solutions.

Remember, when individuals just overthink, they hesitate to take action in the haste of overthinking.

Overthinking is like an epidemic.

The only thing I could suggest is:

“Stop overthinking because; you can’t control everything.” The destined things will always take place in that particular order. Just remember to have ‘Fire in the soul and grace in the heart.’ Everything will settle down correctly at its place.

The dogma of overthinking is probably worse.

The overthinking is sometimes correlated to psychological problems such as depression and anxiety. In many cases, individuals even don’t notice that they are overthinking.

Let me tell you; there are two categories of over thinkers.

Past thinkers: This category includes the overthinkers who just think about things that have taken place in the past or about the things they have gone through. That may consist of appalling childhood, traumatic memories, unpleasant relationships, and many more.

Future thinkers: This category includes the individuals obsessed with the future or may say they are frightened by the future. They always think about the things that are yet to come in life. For example, a friend of mine thinks about what job he will be doing in the future? How much income will he get? How many income taxes will the government deduct? I just wonder why he is contemplating so much; we are just going to junior college.

Symptoms of overthinking.

When you come with thoughts like below, then for sure, you are overthinking.

  2. I can’t stop thinking about this particular thing.
  3. I relieve past embarrassing moments in my brain.
  4. I ask myself, “what if questions.”
  5. I continuously relive my mistakes.
  6. I don’t like acting in some other way or advising.
  7. I am not aware of surrounding things more often.
