How big are your problems? The way you can change your perspective.

“Just like the waves in the ocean come and go,
No challenge is permanent. Problems will arise and go too.
We must enjoy the challenges, just like we enjoy the waves.”

When problems come in our life, we always say, ‘why me?’.

I am also someone like you who wonders, ‘Why has there been an easy or complicated problem in life?’ Can’t life go smoothly without any problems? But, when I left behind all my questions and started observing people around me. Then I realized that I am not the only one. In fact, others have much more significant problems than me.

The biggest problem of our life is that we focus only on our issues; we tend to make them the center of our life. And as a result, we think that I am the only one with problems. But that isn’t true. Everybody has issues in life.

What are the problems?

Basically, the problem is anything hard to deal with. But; you know what. We ourselves make our problems a hard deal. Problems are not any deals to restrict our lives within them. Although problems are like the glory of our life, we are the ones that make them a severe and challenging task.

When problems knock the doors of my life, I always remember only one thing which my mother tells me daily.

‘Problems are like big cotton sacks, one who sees them thinks that they are so big but; the one who handles them feels them so lighter.’

‘Nothing is predestined.’

I know many people think it’s so easy for one to claim that problems are not everything. What takes to say like that? The one who is suffering knows the pain.

But let me tell you, problems are the primary part of our life. We have to face them from our birth till last breath, and that is what the cycle of life is. It takes an effort to take birth, so think why it won’t take effort to live that birth.

Focus on opportunities, not on problems.

‘Every problem is an opportunity.’ An opportunity to test yourself. To unlock your better version, change the perspective, learn a new lesson, and improve yourself.

But what we always do is that we overhype our problems. In problems, we are like, ‘OH! My god, I have a problem. I have a problem’ and then what is to happen. The problem will ultimately become the only thing in life. As a result, we would end up not giving a single glimpse of the opportunity.

Looking at problems as an opportunity helps you grab every best thing out of the worst thing, but; it also makes you a better person by inducing resilience, productivity, and congruent decision-making.

Choose to view a positive perspective.

If you want to be happy, then choose to be happy if you follow this mantra, then I assure you that you will be the most joyful soul in the universe.

Always choose to see the positive perspective of things because; every coin has two sides, so every situation or circumstance in your life too has two sides. Instead, I would say two is a minimal number when it comes to life. Life can have as many perspectives as many individuals in the universe. Maybe the person who is with them would have a different and logical opinion about the situation.

What is the perspective? And why do we need to change it?

Perspective is the way you look at things. Everybody has their view, whether good or bad, easy or complicated, harsh or soft, easy-going, or tough.

One thing is always for sure – An individual tends to glance at a situation with his perspective only and who gives a glance to the situation with others’ perspective, or we may say by multiple perspectives never becomes a root of grief. With all my dignity, I am not convincing the person that chooses to be sorrowful over someone else’s happiness in haste to change perspective. Still, sometimes in life, it becomes necessary to care for the joy of our beloved ones.

Every problem teaches you a lesson.

Every problem has a lesson, be it ethical, moral, professional, and depending upon circumstances. Learn to learn every bit of lessons from these problems because; they will help you throughout your life. Life is a continuous learning experience.

Whenever in life you feel it’s time to learn, don’t hesitate to see who the tutor is? Just focus on learning.

Just imagine, for example, if you are a new intern in the company. Boss wants you to do every single thing, be it small or big. First, you would think, ‘what is this problem?’ This work is much lower than the type of qualifications I hold. But by doing all the work, you end up having too many skills in your pocket and some lifesaving lessons.

Don’t expect too much.

Don’t expect too much, be it life, relations, or people. The only thing you will get at last in most of the cases is sorrow. According to every theory of life, expectations are the roots of every problem and sorrow.

When in the problem don’t think – This thing should have been like this, what this person is like this, the situation would be better some other way. Just deal with it. You will be all fine and capable. Stop thinking- This always happens to me! I am so unlucky.
